Geneva Coworking Space Offers New Memberships
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February, 26, 2019 | Geneva, NY Port 100 Cowork is adding even more flexibility to its shared workspace environment with new membership models. The coworking space, located in downtown Geneva, includes dedicated desks for up to 12 full-time members and flexible virtual month-to-month membership options.
Members enjoy high-speed wifi, on-site business advisors, a mailing address, printer, copier, scanner, and meeting/event space.
“We wanted to remove barriers to entry for new members.” says Maureen Ballatori who manages the cowork and runs her marketing agency, 29 Design Studio from the space.
“Our new membership levels were created to make it easy for remote workers and entrepreneurs to experience Port 100.”
Coworking is a global concept surrounding shared space for collaboration. Members facilitate idea-sharing, creative thinking, and open communication. Coworking spaces are places for entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers to have an affordable and professional environment, separate from a home office or coffee shop – that allows them to interact with others.
The new virtual membership options allow full-time access to the convenient workspace at an incredibly affordable rate of just $125/month. Full-time members enjoy a dedicated workspace for $200/month. For people looking for less-frequent access, a $50/month membership is also available.
The membership organizes and hosts events for the community aimed at helping entrepreneurs grow their business or highlighting businesses in the community. Member Hailie King, Controller for the wildly popular FLX Hospitality family of businesses says
“We’re working on setting up an entrepreneurial panel discussion with FLX Hospitality's owner Isabel Bogadtke and other business leaders to talk about what it’s like to run a business in the Finger Lakes.”
Geneva’s community has strongly supported Port 100 Cowork and its entrepreneurs. Hobart and William Smith Colleges opened The Bozzuto Center for Entrepreneurship last year which features new classrooms, discussion spaces, workspaces and meeting spaces for the Colleges’ Entrepreneurial Studies Program.
Geneva is also home to the Geneva Enterprise Development Center, owned by the Geneva Industrial Development Agency in partnership with the Ontario County Economic Development where expanding businesses can lease office space.
Cornell Agriculture & Food Technology Park, also located in Geneva, is a NY certified business incubator established to foster the creation, retention, and expansion of agriculture, food, and biotechnology research enterprises.
Port 100 member Ben Lopatin has worked from other coworking spaces as near as Rochester, NY and as far as Portugal. He has been working at the Geneva coworking space since it opened in November 2016.
“Port 100 has one of best coworking cultures I've experienced, and is a great space for freelancers, remote workers, and solopreneurs looking for a place to work and a community of peers.”
“Geneva is a strong hub for entrepreneurship and business,” says Ballatori. “The Port 100 membership is a tight-knit community of like-minded people with a shared interest in collaboration and support. Even though many of us could just as easily work from home, we choose to come here and work together. It’s a place for fun and focus. I wouldn’t want to grow my business anywhere else.”
